Why travel with a Grand Angle guide?

The expertise of a local professional

Our guides are more than just mountain leaders; they are true ambassadors of their region. They enrich your journey with their knowledge of the local fauna, flora, and history, while ensuring your safety and adapting the itinerary to the group’s level and weather conditions. They open doors to authentic encounters that you would not experience on your own.

The pleasure of sharing in a small group

A Grand Angle guided tour brings together a small group of participants who share the same passion for active travel. The friendly atmosphere encourages exchanges and the creation of strong bonds. It’s an ideal formula for those looking for walking holidays in europe for singles, but also for couples or friends who want a hassle-free experience.

Travel with a free spirit

The main advantage of a guided trip is the peace of mind it provides. We take care of booking quality accommodations, organizing meals, and transporting your luggage. You just have to walk or pedal and enjoy every moment, without worrying about the logistical details of your adventure.

Our flagship guided hiking destinations

The iconic treks of the Alps

The Alps are a must-see playground for any hiker. Let yourself be guided on the mythical Tour du Mont Blanc, a trek that offers breathtaking panoramas of legendary peaks. Or explore the spectacular landscapes of the Italian Dolomites, with their vertiginous rock faces and verdant alpine pastures. Our trips, like the hut-to-hut traverse, promise a complete immersion in the heart of the most beautiful Alpine massifs.

The sun-drenched trails of the Greek islands

For those who dream of combining hiking with culture and sea, our guided tours in Greece are a perfect escape. Discover the wild beauty of Crete on our Cretan Odyssey, or let yourself be charmed by island hopping in the Cyclades. Between ancient paths and turquoise coves, our trip to Sifnos, Milos and Kimolos is an invitation to experience the Greek islands at a different pace.

How to prepare for your guided trip?

Choosing the right adventure for you

Each of our trips indicates a difficulty level to help you make your choice. Consider your physical condition, your hiking experience, and your desires. Do you prefer majestic mountain scenery or coastal paths? Our team of experts is at your disposal to advise you and find the trip that best suits your expectations. Do not hesitate to contact us for personalized advice.

What to put in your backpack?

Lightness is key. However, some items are essential for your comfort and safety: well-worn hiking boots, layered clothing suitable for changing weather, sun and rain protection, and a water bottle. For more specific advice, feel free to consult our detailed packing lists, such as this day hike packing list, and our guide on how to choose your hiking poles.

—  I had a truly unique and wonderful experience—it was a complete success in every way. Thierry is a great guide, and the group was fantastic. The routes we took allowed us to see some amazing sights. It was an extraordinary experience, both physically and socially, that’s definitely worth having.

—  This was one of the best trips of my life!! Views were SPECTACULAR, 3 course dinners and picnic lunches were amazingly good, our guide was perfect and although the trip was physically hard, every day was enjoyable accomplishing our hiking goal and meeting friendly people along the way❤️

—  A wonderful trip that met all our expectations: hikes of moderate difficulty, with breathtaking views, and above all, a guide who was very attentive to our group of 15 people. Laurent was able to accommodate our varying skill levels and took great care of all of us—and on top of that, he prepared excellent picnics for us! A wonderful week of hiking in a fantastic setting!

—  A guide who knows the subject inside and out and is a good listener. Excellent group management, with alternative routes planned whether there are any hiccups or not—that’s really appreciated.

Choosing and preparing your guided trip

Compare trip types, then read the practical details about accommodation, luggage and documents. Our booking instructions describe the next steps. For your own group and preferred dates, you can request a private departure.

Practical questions about guided travel

If I book alone, must I take a single room?

On trips offering shared accommodation, you can share with another participant. A single room is an option when available, with the supplement specified for the trip. Request it when booking; availability must be confirmed by our team.

Can a child join a guided departure?

This depends on the itinerary, the child’s experience and the conditions for that departure. Contact us before booking so we can check whether the trip is suitable.

What happens if the weather changes or I cannot complete a stage?

The guide can adapt the itinerary for the safety and wellbeing of the group. If you need to miss a stage, discuss it with the guide: a transfer is possible only where the route and local services allow it, and additional costs may apply. Choose a difficulty level suited to your experience before booking.

What if I arrive late?

Use the guide’s contact details or the emergency number in your travel documents to let us know as soon as possible. We can explain how to reach the group or the first accommodation. Costs caused by a delayed arrival remain your responsibility.

Can I arrive earlier, stay longer or arrange different flights?

Ask your adviser before making arrangements. Extra nights, flights and separate arrival transfers depend on availability and may require an additional payment.
