A splendid and very diverse trip with breathtaking scenery! We did it with our three children, ages 17, 16, and 14, who loved it. The mountain huts are very comfortable. The stages are well chosen. The stages are fairly long, but it’s very easy to arrange bus rides to shorten them if needed. There are regular sections that are quite technical, though not dangerous.

I have travelled many times in mountains across the world prior so I had a fair amount of experience in what I was about to experience. This however was my first time as a solo traveller and my first time in the Dolomites.

What made this trip particularly enjoyable was not only the majestic Dolomites, but the people I experienced it with our 6 days. We were from 4 different countries and luckily English was spoken by all. Age ranges from 50 to 60. One 42 year old. 5 blokes and 5 girls.

Anne, our multilingual guide was greatly skilled at getting out predominantly novice group through some tough terrain, whilst educating us about the history and geography of the region.

Huts were as I expected, but a bit of an eye opener to most of our group who had not previously experienced the tight communal mountain accomodation. However the hut locations well placed along the track to take in scenery that has to be seen to be believed.

Food, again we are talking about mountain huts, was adequate and meet varied diets and tastes. Drinks usually available if required at each hut and water could be found for free along the way.

Showers, well that’s another adventure story.

Weather , we were blessed. Perfect.

Overall a fantastic experience for those after a physical and social experience that will stretch their sense of adventure and leave them wanting more, in an unforgettable environment.
