Our history in a few important dates...
2023
Grand Angle celebrates its 40th year anniversary!... and gets even closer to the action, with the opening of two new offices: in Corfu, Greece with our new local agency Kélifos; and in Italy with our new local agency Andiamo. Today, in addition to the field & guide teams, more than 20 office staff are busy helping put the finishing touches on our trips so that they operate seamlessly for our guests.
2019
The construction to double the size of the workspace at our Autrans-Méaudre en Vercors main office is completed.
2017
► Membre d’Agir pour un Tourisme Responsable (ATR)
Depuis 2012, Grand Angle est membre d’ATR, l’association de référence pour un tourisme plus responsable. Nous concevons nos voyages – à pied, à vélo, sur neige – pour inviter chacun à découvrir le monde autrement : avec curiosité, respect et bienveillance.
Présents au conseil d’administration depuis 2018, nous contribuons activement à faire évoluer les pratiques du secteur vers plus de sens. Concrètement, nous veillons à :
- La transparence dans nos pratiques et nos tarifs
- Le respect de nos partenaires et des populations locales
- La préservation de l’environnement sur chacun de nos séjours
Nous partageons également les valeurs de la charte éthique du voyageur, qui encourage chacun à adopter des gestes simples pour protéger les lieux traversés et favoriser de belles rencontres.

Depuis 2025, Grand Angle est reconnu Travelife Partner, un label international qui certifie nos pratiques responsables en matière d’environnement, d’éthique et de gestion durable, tant au sein de notre entreprise qu’avec nos partenaires et dans l’organisation de nos voyages.
Ce label, deuxième niveau d’une certification internationale exigeante, atteste de nos actions concrètes en faveur d’un tourisme responsable. Nous poursuivons activement notre progression vers le niveau supérieur, Travelife Certified, conformément à notre politique de développement durable

The agency's founders pass the Grand Angle torch on to their children David and Thomas.
2014

Publication of a special "cycling trips" brochure.

Self-guided cycling trips round out our wide range of tour offerings.

Creation of the "Munich to Venice" hiking trip, a fabulous itinerary that remains one of the most beautiful hikes in Europe.
1992
Grand Angle association is dead, long live Grand Angle!... which becomes a licensed travel agency, and moves into a brand new office in Méaudre, Isère, in the heart of the Vercors mountains. It's the first travel agency to set up shop in these mountains.
1987
Self-guided hiking tours take their place alongside our guided tours in our trip offerings.
1985
Snowshoeing tours join our Nordic skiing tours to bolster our trip offerings.
1983
The birth of the Grand Angle association, creator of cross-country skiing and walking trips, already specializing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordic countries.
