Hiking with a guide is the genesis of Grand Angle, a team of mountaineers amazed by the beauty of the world, its nature and heritage, all driven by the desire to share this wonder and live in symbiosis with it.

How does it work?

It's a hike in a small group supervised by a specialized guide (mountain leader, ski instructor, etc.), on dates predetermined by Grand Angle. The number of participants varies from 6 to 13, sometimes 15, or more if the group is private. You don't know all the other people in the group, unless you're in a private group. In the latter case, we'll choose the date and program together!

You book your hike on one of our planned dates; you can sign up alone, with others, or form your own private group of friends.

You have a choice of activities: hiking, biking, biking and boating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, Nordic cross-country skiing, ski touring or dog sledding. As for destinations, Grand Angle offers a host of them in France, Europe and beyond!

On the practical side, luggage is generally transported.

Why take a guided tour?

Guided tours are the ideal way to discover a region in depth and in complete safety, and they also encourage conviviality. As for your guides, they are passionate, curious and eclectic; their training as EU certified mountain guides or ski instructors ensures a high degree of professionalism and safety. At Grand Angle, you'll find a particularly loyal team of like-minded guides.

The guide brings a real “plus”. They know the most beautiful places, as well as the region's fauna, flora, history and culture. They create a certain level of security and confidence in the group, managing the day's walking pace and supervising the group. If necessary, they can adapt the itinerary and deal with any unforeseen or critical situations. In short, they take care of everything, giving you “zero worries and zero responsibility” to ensure a smooth relaxing holiday. As for group travel, it brings you both the warmth of meeting new people and a certain dynamic that motivates you to take part in outdoor activities. In a group, you have the reassuring feeling of belonging to a “collective unit”. And that's just great!
