What is travel insurance?
► Before the trip, i.e. between booking and departure: cancellation insurance.
Like all travel agencies, Grand Angle applies cancellation conditions, which are set out in its terms and conditions of sale. If you cancel your trip, Grand Angle will only partially reimburse you. Cancellation insurance will reimburse the sums withheld by Grand Angle... under certain conditions!
► During the trip, until your return: repatriation assistance, search and rescue coverage, trip interruption insurance, civil liability insurance.
- Repatriation assistance helps you in the event of an accident (or a more serious one), from the point of first aid (doctor or hospital) until your return home; it also works if relatives require your presence.
- Search and rescue coverage covers you upstream, from the scene of the accident.
- Trip interruption insurance will partially reimburse your interrupted trip in the event of medical repatriation.
- Your civil liability insurance will cover you if you unintentionally cause damage to others.
The obligation to be insured
At Grand Angle, safety is paramount. However, we don't make it compulsory for anyone to take out insurance with us. We only require that everyone has repatriation assistance cover, as this is a basic safety requirement. You can choose between Assurinco's well-adapted Grand Angle policy or your own personal policy. In the latter case, we ask you to send us the references: this is an opportunity for you to pull out your contract, remember its references and call number, and check its benefits.

Grand Angle offers you 5 Assurinco contracts, so you can choose the cover you need and pay only for what you need.
Please note! These formulas cover residents of Western Europe and Overseas France; in some cases, only French residents. Please refer to the definition of “Insured” in the contract summary. In other cases, Grand Angle can offer you a multi-risk policy. Please contact us for further information.
- Multi-risk insurance with extended coverage for epidemics and pandemics: 4.85% of the total cost of your stay.
- Cancellation + interruption of stay in the event of repatriation for medical reasons: 2.7% of the total cost of the stay.
- Repatriation assistance + search and rescue costs: 1.2% of the cost of the stay.
- Comprehensive insurance: cancellation + interruption of stay + repatriation assistance + search and rescue costs + civil liability abroad + luggage + personal accident + flight, boat or train delays + missed departure: 3.6% of the total cost of the stay.
- Complementary CB insurance: same as multi-risk, but in addition to your CB guarantee offering “cancellation” and “repatriation assistance” cover (Gold Mastercard, Visa Premier, Infinité Platinium, American Express): 2.7% of the cost of the stay.
