Today, Grand Angle is a tour operator specializing in guided and self-guided trips on foot, bike, skis and snowshoes.

Our history in a few important dates...

2023

Grand Angle celebrates its 40th year anniversary!... and gets even closer to the action, with the opening of two new offices: in Corfu, Greece with our new local agency Kélifos; and in Italy with our new local agency Andiamo. Today, in addition to the field & guide teams, more than 20 office staff are busy helping put the finishing touches on our trips so that they operate seamlessly for our guests.

2019

The construction to double the size of the workspace at our Autrans-Méaudre en Vercors main office is completed.

2017

2016

The agency's founders pass the Grand Angle torch on to their children David and Thomas.

2014

Membership of the ATR association "Agir pour un Tourisme Responsable".

Publication of a special "cycling trips" brochure.

Self-guided cycling trips round out our wide range of tour offerings.

Creation of the "Munich to Venice" hiking trip, a fabulous itinerary that remains one of the most beautiful hikes in Europe.

1992

Grand Angle association is dead, long live Grand Angle!... which becomes a licensed travel agency, and moves into a brand new office in Méaudre, Isère, in the heart of the Vercors mountains. It's the first travel agency to set up shop in these mountains.

1987

Self-guided hiking tours take their place alongside our guided tours in our trip offerings.

1985

Snowshoeing tours join our Nordic skiing tours to bolster our trip offerings.

1983

 The birth of the Grand Angle association, creator of cross-country skiing and walking trips, already specializing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Nordic countries.

1982

Jean-Claude Praire and Anne Marie Billault meet on a trek in Morocco.
